If I Had a Heart

on March 16, 2013

If I Had a Heart

performed by Andy Burrows

I forget someone had to pay for this with love
And you expect someone had to give themselves away
So forget the lies, yeah I told them out of spite
Despite everything I guess you’re right

If I had a heart,
I would’ve let you go
And if I had a heart.
well I wonder would I know,
That we’re still miles away,
still running and hiding,
If I had a heart,
was good to you, what good would that do now?

And so we let things fall to the ground we held so dear
And you can’t hold it all together just to give it all away

So forget the lies, yeah I told them out of spite
Despite everything I guess you’re right.

If I had a heart,
I would’ve let you go
And if I had a heart.
well I wonder would I know,
That we’re still miles away,
still running and hiding,
If I had a heart,
was good to you, what good would that do yeah?
If I had a heart,
was good to you, what good would that do now?
